Celtic Spring Faire


Come one, come all, and celebrate the spring with Eisenmarche! On May 4, 5 & 6, 2007 CE we will be celebrating the blossoming of Spring, Celtic style at the beautiful Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission, BC.
Site opens at noon on May 4 and closes at 5pm May 6. Anyone arriving prior to 3pm may expect to be pressed into service preparing the site for our guests. Thank you in advance.

We will be choosing our Arts & Sciences Champion. The challenge is to create and show something your persona would wear or carry on a daily basis. For more information, please contact Mistress Seiglynda Thyrisdotter at . The championship will be held on Saturday between 10 AM and 1 PM

We are also chosing our Archery Champion. The championship will be held on Saturday between 10 AM and 1 PM. Please contact our Captain of Archery, HL Kenneth of Shaftesbury at for further information.

Heavy and Rapier Lists and Armour Inspection will start at 9 AM on Sunday.

Water on site is limited, so please bring your own drinking water plus one liter per fighter for water bearers if you are involved in any of the martial arts.

This is a visibly dry site - period containers only. Aboveground fires are allowed - burn bans permitting. Please pack out your trash and your ash.

This site is very open to the public and we will have the general public walking through and asking questions. What a great opportunity for educating the public!

Directions to Site: From West of Mission:
Take Lougheed Hwy to Mission. Turn left at the traffic light at the West Coast Express Station then right onto 1st Ave, which turns into Lougheed Highway. If you turn left at the lights at Stave Lake St, turn right on 3rd Ave then left on Riverview St and straight ahead to the lower gate. If you miss the lights at Stave Lake St, turn left across the highway at Riverview St - it goes off at an angle and straight ahead to the gate.

From East of Mission:

Take Lougheed Hwy toward Mission. Turn right at the lights at Stave Lake St then right on 3rd Ave then left on Riverview St and straight to the lower gate.
